On 18 & 19 September 2018 the Pacific Transnational Crime Network (PTCN) Team Leaders’ Meeting took place in Nadi, Fiji. The theme of the meeting was “PTCN : Stepping up in the Pacific”.  PTCN Team Leaders from all 21 Pacific Island Chief of Police (PICP) countries attended.  Also in attendance were representatives from the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS), the Oceania Customs Organisation (OCO) and the Pacific Immigration Development Community (PIDC).The meeting was opened by Fiji Police Commissioner, Brigidier General Sitiveni Qiliho and Chaired by the PTCN Executive Lead, Samoa Police Commissioner Egon Keil.  The PICP Secretariat work-shopped a session to identify actions that can support the Pacific Methamphetamine Action Plan going forward.  The New Zealand Police National Intelligence Centre also presented on the development of the New Zealand Transnational Crime Unit and the emerging issues.  Both of these were well received by the delegates.The outcomes of the conference will include a draft of the actions to support the Pacific Methamphetamine Action Plan.
