Expressions of Interest are sought from sworn police and civilian members of PICP member countries for the 2019 Seconded Pacific Officer (SPO) placements. In this round of applications we are particularly focusing on Officers who are self-starters and have strong administrative logistical skills. The focus for these secondments will be on assisting the Secretariat with the PICP programmes including Road Policing, Family/Gender Harm and supporting the Women Advisory Network (WAN). These secondments will be primarily based in Wellington New Zealand.

SPO secondments will commence from June/July 2019 for a period of 1 to 6 months unaccompanied (without family members). Seconded Pacific Officers will continue to be paid their normal salary, and all other costs associated with the placements will be met by the PICP Secretariat including:

  • Travel costs
  • Accommodation
  • All utilities (excluding telephone calls)
  • A monthly per diem rate.

The successful applicants will come under the administrative control of the PICP Executive Director for the duration of the secondment. Attached is the documentation required for an SPO application:
