The intent of the Cyber Safety Pasifika (CSP) Cybercrime Investigations (CI) Scholarship program is to support further study in cyber security and cybercrime investigations through a certified learning provider. It will be available for any Pacific Police Officers who have completed the CSP Tier 2 CI training.

There will be an application process to ensure equity across the Pacific Police organisations that are members of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP).

The CI Scholarship will fund a Certificate IV in Cyber Security through the University of South Pacific, Pacific Technical. An equivalent course at a certified learning provider, identified by the applicant, may also be supported for a scholarship if the course demonstrates equivalent learning outcomes. The course will ideally cover cyber security fundamentals, data analysis and scripting, ethical practices in cyber security, security domains and vulnerabilities.

The course is intended to enhance the capabilities of Pacific Police Officers to respond to and investigate cyber offences. Supporting this study will also build capacity across Pacific Police organisations to respond to cyber security threats.
