Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Conference

The PICP Conference is the annual forum through which collective PICP decisions are made, strategic direction is set each year, and major law enforcement issues are discussed.

The conference is open to all PICP members as well as key stakeholders and regional partners (invited as Observers). Part of the conference (usually half to a full day) is reserved for a members-only ‘retreat’ allowing for more private and in-depth discussions.

The 2019 PICP Conference will be held in American Samoa, 21-23 August.

Women’s Advisory Network Conference

The PICP WAN Conference is an annual meeting of delegates from each country’s WAN. Delegates meet annually to discuss WAN activities, strategies and undertake relevant training.

The 16th PICP WAN Conference will be hosted by the American Samoa Department of Public Safety WAN and the PICP Secretariat, 19-21 August 2019. The theme for the 2019 conference is Shaping our future WAN: 2020-2024 providing an opportunity for WAN Chairs to discuss and agree the 2020-2024 WAN Strategic Direction in a supportive and networking-rich environment.

Background
The PICP WAN conference is the primary decision-making mechanism in respect of PICP WAN activities and strategic direction. From 2004 till 2015 it was held annually, with members endorsing the move to a biennial conference from 2015 onwards.
