PICP Chair’s Award

Every year the PICP recognises a current or former Pacific police member who has demonstrated outstanding service to policing the Pacific Island region across more than one member country.  The award recipient would have an exemplary police record and they will potentially be a role model for other police members.

A call for 2019 award nominations will be made in June 2019.

At the 47th Annual PICP Conference in Nauru PICP Chair, Chief Joseph Cruz, announced the 2018 recipient of the Chair’s Award was Capitaine Stéphanie Ravel of the New Caledonia Police Nationale.  Her citation read:

In recognition of her professionalism and outstanding contribution to policing in New Caledonia, and for her leadership in the Pacific Region through active engagement in the PICP network.

The award was accepted on her behalf by New Caledonia Commissioner Alain Martinez.
