International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
The IACP website contains some useful resources for free.  Access to all online resources and model policies requires paid membership (USD $150/year).

International CPTED Association
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is based on the concept that crime and fear of crime can be minimised through effective planning and design in our built environment.  Some resources are provided on their website however full access to resources requires paid membership (CAD $70/year).

International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC)
The ICMEC works around the world advocating, training and collaborating to advance child protection and safeguard children from abduction, sexual abuse and exploitation.

Cyber Safety

Law Enforcement Cyber Center
A collaborative project of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and other agencies, the Law Enforcement Cyber Center (LECC) was developed to enhance the awareness, expand the education, and build the capacity of justice and public safety agencies to prevent, investigate, prosecute, and respond to cyber threats and cyber crimes.


Australian Institute of Criminology
The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is Australia’s national research and knowledge centre on crime and justice.  Its website contains publications covering a broad range of areas including practical policing guides on interview techniques, problem-solving and crime mapping.

Centre for Problem-Oriented Policing
The Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Centre resource library contains a number problem-specific guides, response guides and problem-solving tool guides.

Women and Policing

International Association of Women Police (IAWP)
The IAWP was established in Los Angeles, California USA as an international organization to provide professional development, mentoring, training, networking and recognition for female law enforcement officers and civilian support staff as well as to increase the numbers of women in policing. One-hundred years later, IAWP has members in more than 60 countries and continues the same traditions established by its founders.

Australasian Council of Women and Policing (ACWAP)
Established in 1997, the Australasian Council of Women and Policing (ACWAP) is a growing group of women and men within police services, law enforcement agencies and the community who are working together to improve the policing services provided to women, improve opportunities and outcomes for women within policing, and participate in the global network of women in policing.

2017 International Women & Law Enforcement Conference
The 2017 International Women & Law Enforcement Conference is hosted by the IAWP and ACWAP and will be held in Cairns, Queensland, Australia between the 17th and 21st of September 2017. The theme for the 2017 conference “Global Networks: Local Law Enforcement” was selected to highlight the importance of partnerships and celebrate the cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the community around the globe.


IACP Youth Focused Policing Resource Center
The IACP in partnership with other agencies launched the Youth Focused Policing Online Resource Center which contains information and resources to assist law enforcement in delivering Youth Focused Policing within their communities through the development and improvement of youth programs.
