Deputy Chair of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP)

On behalf of Tonga Police Commissioner Shane McLennan, Chair of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP), the Secretariat is pleased to announce that Vanuatu Police Force Commissioner Robson Iavro has been elected Deputy Chair of the PICP.

Commissioner Iavro will serve as Deputy on a one year term. Commissioner Iavro will then assume the role of Chair of the PICP at the 51st Conference in Tonga, in 2024.

The Deputy Chair position plays a key role in supporting the Chair in exercising his duties and providing leadership to the PICP membership.

Commissioner Iavro is an existing member of the PICP Executive Leadership Team, and is the strategic lead for ‘Enable and Support Operational Policing’ for the region.
