Meet the Vanuatu Police Force Women’s Advisory Network (WAN) Executive 🇻🇺 who are kicking goals and very active.
Led by WAN Chair Lieutenant Dorah Sahe, the WAN meet monthly, and with the support of Commissioner and PICP Deputy Chair Robson Iavro, the VPF has seen a significant recruitment of female officers, with 36% of recent recruits being female. There are currently 198 female members in the force with six female leaders at the rank of Senior Inspector amongst them.
VPF’s WAN members are active in all provinces and this year, are hosting their annual WAN conference in the island of Tanna. This will provide an opportunity for provincial police members to attend. To fund the conference, the WAN have been fund raising and have received support from key partners such as the Vanuatu Australia Policing and Justice Program.
