Police Remembrance Day

As we commemorate Police Remembrance Day, the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) honours all officers and police employees who have tragically lost their lives while in service in the Pacific, and serving and former police employees who have died in the past year.

We acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of all police, who have kept and continue keeping Our Blue Pacific, safe and secure.

Our sincere gratitude for the bravery shown each day, and all police do to protect our communities, countries and region.

ABOUT:

Police Remembrance Day is celebrated annually on 29 September, the feast day of the Archangel Michael, the patron saint of Police. The day pays tribute to police officers who have been slain on duty and died as a result of their duty, and remembers Police staff who have died in the past year in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
